It is a disease of the immune system in which the body attacks its own conjunctive tissues. The disease is mainly common with women between 20 – 40 years of age, usually African, American and Asian ones. These populations develop the disease more often than the Europeans.
The symptoms include articular pains, fever, nausea, dizziness, vertigo, prolonged fatigue, arthritis, eczemas that develop even in the nose and in the buccal cavity, renal dysfunctions, chest pains, photo sensitivity, loss of hair, Raynaud’s phenomenon, fainting, depression, epistaxis and gum bleeding, onicomycoses, headaches and anemia.
