Lymphedema is an inflammation of the lymphatic ganglia in arms and legs and, in rare cases, in other parts of the body, too, such as head and intestines. At the same time with the inflammation of the ganglia, the skin grows thicker, and there are discharges of lymphatic liquid where there are skin lesions or injuries – the patient feels a painful pressure as if he or she were on the verge of exploding. The main cause of this disease is the absence of the lymphatic canals. In very many cases, the immediate cause is a physical trauma, various surgeries, radiotherapy for the treatment of breast cancer or of parasites.
We must also bear in mind the fact that over 15 million people of the Earth population are born with a deficient lymphatic system. Most often, there is a cutaneous and subcutaneous streptococcal infection. In this case the patients have mild fever, red feet and hands.
Another complication that may occur is the discharge of lymphatic liquid, a condition known as lymphorrhea. Lymphedema must be treated without delay, or else it may cause even death.
The treatment is done under the supervision of a traditional medicine practitioner, who will decide the proper therapeutical action for this disease, namely acupuncture sessions, herbal extracts and alimentary diet, a treatment that must be observed during and after the end of the therapy.
By its treatment methods, the traditional medicine offers not only theoretical solutions, but it really heals various diseases. If we search very thoroughly, we shall see that both common people and important characters in the history and in our present society as well, such as emperors, pharaohs, stars and men of culture have and always resort to the traditional medicine. Well-trained traditional medicine specialists are not dream-traders, but actual participants in the healing process and in health protection for any person resorting to this method of treatment.
