Any stress or trauma affects our cerebral activity and the balance of the cognitive functions, producing little scars on the surface of the brain and disturbing the entire activity of the body. Each affection is based on a broken link between the cerebral area affected by stress or trauma and the organ corresponding to that area.
First of all, it is necessary to identify and heal the mental causes of the disease for an affections to be completely cured and any relapsing probabilities to be eliminated. Psychological socks during pregnancy, unhappy events from childhood, traumas and every day stress can cause or amplify a disease.
We involve our patients in the healing process by establishing a permanent dialogue based on trust. During the treatment we help them to understand the nature and origin of their affections and to deal with the stress generated by this affections.
Also, we make our patients aware of the seriousness and importance of the condition they suffer from, explaining every step of the way the impact it will have on their lives. We also present them the available treatments, the methods and procedures implied and how efficient they will be for their situation.
Sorina Burtoiu, psychologist, explaines the importance of another approace in the relation patient-disease.
“Planet Earth’s climate and geographic changes as seen as a consequence of the human being’s negligence act like a boomerang hitting back the human being, the flora and the fauna. In time, all of them undergo changes; shrinking is the first of them. Eventually, the changes lead to the extinction of certain species. Superior as evolution, the human being, too, undergoes changes, both psychically and as behavior and somatic changes, as well.
Cutting off the connection with nature in the process of society modernization has given birth to a breach in the immune system of the body. Consequently, various diseases occur, more or less complex ones, caused by the pathogen agents in the environment (viruses, bacteria, fungi etc.). At this point, the human being turns to the allopathic medicine to cure the diseases, complying with its techniques and principles, but knocking himself against its limitations.
If unhappy with the results, the patient turns to the complementary and alternative (traditional) medicine, where he often encounters problems because he cannot adjust with the completely new approach (e.g. the complexity of the treatment). At the same time, the presence of few real specialists in this field on the market is a fact of consequence, too. Being in such a state of uncertainty, combined with the wish of solving his health problems, the patient needs a psychological support. Psychological counseling all through the duration of the treatment will lead to its better implementation and implicitly to the expected results. Both understanding of the pre-healing stages as well as a strict compliance with them are to the benefit of the patient and they speed recovery.
The modern stem therapy meets the health needs with a new solution, a solution which – in my opinion – has only maximum efficiency if accompanied by the profound understanding of the psychic causes triggering by repetition the occurrence of the physical disorders, save for those ones proven to be of genetic determination. Therefore, man owes to himself both a somatic and psychic recovery, efficiently coordinated and giving visible results in time.
In the conditions of the nowadays society, the combined approach of the patients – both from the point of view of the traditional medicine and of psychology – is an actual solution, necessary and demanded by the patients to their own benefit.”
